Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Ann Cochran

GHS athletic director, Ann Cochran, is a 32- year veteran of teaching, spending most of that time in middle school, with a short and enjoyable two years in kindergarten.  She came to Goldendale right out of Central Washington University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, k-8. Ann has coached middle school girls and boys basketball, slow pitch softball, and high school boys baseball.

After deciding that it was time to try something new that still involved things she enjoys, kids and sports, she accepted a part-time job at Goldendale High School as athletic director.  Ann has goals for her time in the position. First, she wants to increase positive student participation in athletics and activities. Second, she is committed to zero playing time lost due to failing grades from athletes.   Improving success in athletic ventures by continuing to foster the development of competitive, committed, and high-quality coaches, athletes and people throughout the system is her overall goal.
